August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month. It is our favorite (and busiest!) time of the year. Every year, we celebrate Black Breastfeeding Week, which is from August 25th through August 31st. This year marks the 8th anniversary of Black Breastfeeding Week. You can learn more about the importance of this week here. We have a full week ahead, so mark your calendars for all of our Black Black Breastfeeding Week appearances and for our breastfeeding boot camp event for expectant and new Black moms.
August 23rd - The Nursathon: A Virtual Experience
On Sunday, August 23rd, join our Founder, Ayanna Robinson, at the Nursathon! The Nursathon is a virtual conference including more than 20 lactation consultants, doulas, nurses, and public figures coming together to shed light on the importance of Black breastfeeding. Ayanna will be moderating the session at 2:00-2:45 PM - What The Health? Dealing With Low Milk Supply.

August 26th - "Centering Black Mamas to Revive, Restore, and Reclaim their Breastfeeding Power."

August 28th - Sugaberry's Milk&Suga Summit 2020
Actress, Tika Sumpter, and Thai Randolph, Co-Founders of Sugaberry, created Sugaberry's Milk and Suga Summit. Join Ayanna Robinson and a panel of other moms, influencers, and health and medical professionals for a day of celebrating, educating, and empowering Black moms on their breastfeeding journey.

August 29th - The Reclamation: Breastfeeding Boot Camp (A Black Girls' Breastfeeding Club Event)
Last, but not least, on Saturday, August 29th, we are hosting a free online breastfeeding boot camp for expectant women and new Black moms.
