bEarth Work

Created Exclusively for

Black Health Professionals and Birth Workers

Are you ready to support more Black mothers in birthing and beyond through your virtual class or course?

Our Why

Maternal mortalities and breastfeeding disparities among Black women are public health crises. According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Black women are 3-4 times more likely to die from pregnancy related causes than White women and the majority of these deaths are preventable. Although breastfeeding rates among Black women have increased significantly over the last decade (which we celebrate), breastfeeding initiation and duration rates among Black mothers fall short of meeting national and international breastfeeding recommendations.

We believe that Black women across the spectrum of health professions and birth work have the knowledge, skills, and insider perspectives to combat these issues.
